Community Day

Wednesday, June 16, 2010, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Keynote speaker: TBD

The meeting will feature speakers addressing HIV issues among families living in rural settings.

Community providers and academic researchers will address the challenges of responding to the social context of HIV risk and enhancing the role of families, broadly defined as networks of mutual commitment, in preventing and treating HIV/AIDS.

The sessions will be interactive to develop strategies to respond to HIV/AIDS and family-related problems, to identify ways to offer evidence-based programs, and to stimulate new research ideas that will benefit families and support networks.

Research Days

Friday, June 18, 2010, 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Scientific findings from HIV/AIDS family-based studies will be presented in symposia, workshops, and a poster session.
