Local Attractions

Located in historic downtown Providence, the Westin Providence is connected to the new Providence Place Mall. It boasts the five star Agora Restaurant and Bar and is within walking distance of many other gourmet restaurants and historic attractions. There are Trolley tours of Providence, a Rhode Island Historical Riverwalk and gondala rides on the Woonasquatucket River. Eighteenth and 19th century homes line Benefit Street and restaurants serving homemade pasta line Federal Hill (Providence’s Little Italy).

Several plays will be running, including “Antigone Anew,” updating Sophocles, and “Bug,” about a handsome drifter and a lonely waitress. Magnificent fall foliage will be peaking nearby. The storied “cottages” of Newport are 35 minutes away; Boston, 45 minutes.
