The Westin Providence Hotel is a nonsmoking facility. The Westin Providence Hotel charges a significant room recovery fee for guests who do not comply.

The Westin Providence Hotel is handicap accessible and follows all ADA guidelines (Americans with Disabilities).

Connected to the Rhode Island Convention Center and the new Providence Place Mall, and located in downtown Providence, The Westin Providence Hotel boasts an excellent location. Within walking distance of many gourmet restaurants and historic attractions, guests can experience all that the city has to offer.

The Westin Providence Hotel has a heated indoor pool, and fully equipped Capital Club fitness center. Designed and certified by Runner’s World magazines, Runner’s World Maps are available to guests and feature 3-mile and 5-mile jogging/walking routes from the hotel as well as local running tips.

Hotel Rates

A room block has been reserved at the rate of $146.00 per night (plus 13% tax), for participants of the NIMH Annual International Research Conference on the Role of Families in Preventing and Adapting to HIV/AIDS.

Reservations must be made by September 19, 2008 to ensure the group rate.

The group room block has been reserved for October 5 – 7, 2008. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., and check-out time is 12 noon.  Conference registration opens on Sunday, October 5, at 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Narragansett Lobby and the conference ends on Wednesday, October 8, at 1:30 pm.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

To cancel your hotel reservation, you must contact The Westin Providence Hotel reservation desk at (401) 598-8000 no later than 6:00 p.m. on the day of your scheduled arrival. You will be charged for one night stay if your reservation is not cancelled with sufficient notice.

Parking

Parking is available at the adjacent Rhode Island Convention Center Garage. This garage is connected to the Westin Hotel. Take the elevators in the garage to the 4th floor to enter the hotel. Parking rates are $23.00 for self-parking; and $23.00 for overnight valet (with in/out privileges). The Day rate for parking is $14.00. These rates are subject to change.
